11th Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives (ISADE) 2013, 7-10 October

The International Symposium on the Analysis and Detection of Explosives is organised by three Dutch organisations engaged with research and development on explosives: the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security (NCTV).Concentrating on analysis and detection, participants will present results and discuss groundbreaking developments in the fields of forensics and security covering the following themes:

1. Complementary and common issues in security and forensics
2. 'New' explosives: state-of-the-art and beyond
3. From analytical to operational and vice versa

EMPHASIS End User Workshop

On November 2-3 2011, in conjunction with the demonstration for the EU FP 7 LOTUS project an EMPHASIS end user workshop was held.

The purpose was to discuss the threat and scenarios with the participants. About 45 participants from various organisations from nine different member states attended the workshop and provided valuable insight in the European end user needs with respect to the intentions of the project objectives.
